  Kit manufacturers Puma have delivered another nod to that heritage in their latest home offering, which incorporates a graffiti-inspired 0161 graphic on the collar and cuffs. Said number is the telephone area code that covers a large area of Greater Manchester – including where City are based.

  City claim that their heritage is now being woven into jerseys that invite the world to “experience and feel” what locals do – “from East Manchester to Istanbul, Northern Quarter to Norway, Moss Side to the other side of the world”.
